Privacy Policy

ChangeBeam is operated by VISANOLE LLC. This Privacy Policy explains what information we collect, how we use it, and your rights as a user.

What data we collect

When you create a ChangeBeam account we collect:

  • Email address — used to send transactional messages (password resets, billing receipts) and changelog digest notifications you opt into.
  • GitHub OAuth profile data — name, avatar, and public email returned by GitHub when you sign in with GitHub. We store only what is needed to identify your account.
  • Usage analytics — page view counts on your public changelog, used to show you aggregate stats on the dashboard. No fingerprinting or cross-site tracking.

What the widget collects

The embeddable widget collects no personal data from your end users. When a visitor views the widget on your site it fetches changelog content from our CDN. We set no cookies, load no tracking pixels, and collect no personally identifiable information (PII) from visitors. Your users' privacy is not our business.

Third-party services

We rely on the following sub-processors to operate ChangeBeam:

  • Supabase — database and authentication hosting. Your account data lives in Supabase's managed PostgreSQL.
  • Stripe — payment processing. ChangeBeam never stores card numbers; Stripe handles all payment data under their own PCI-DSS compliance.
  • Resend — transactional email delivery. Your email address is passed to Resend only when we need to send you a message.
  • Vercel — application hosting and edge CDN for widget delivery.

Data retention

Your account data (profile, projects, posts) is kept for as long as your account is active. When you delete your account, or request deletion in writing, we permanently delete your data within 30 days. Stripe retains billing records independently as required by law.

GDPR rights

If you are in the European Economic Area you have the right to access, correct, export, or erase your personal data. To exercise any of these rights, email us at support@changebeam.com and we will respond within 30 days.

Changes to this policy

We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time. We will notify account holders via email before any material changes take effect. Continued use of ChangeBeam after a policy update constitutes acceptance of the new terms.
